Maidstone was the bomb!

Maidstone Leisure Centre at Mote Park was just great in every way. Some great cosplay, a great atmosphere, just generally nice. I actually made a profit for the first time in ages.
Yeah, the venue wasn’t very big, it was pretty cramped, the tables weren’t quite up to the right size, but it was mad busy for the first four hours and I had a great time. I managed to have a brief chat with Christopher Ryan about Doctor Who and how much of a fan my eldest is of the franchise, and how I grew up watching the Young Ones. Again, a really nice guy. Down to Earth and friendly. Sadly I didn’t get to chat with Colin Baker, the moment the doors opened the people came flooding in.

Sure, I’d played games before, Duck Hunt, Ye Arr Kung Fu, Chucky Egg, Frogger, Space Invaders, but Sonic was the first game I played that completing it in my childhood felt like an accomplishment

This Alastor cosplayer liked my in-progress portrait. I currently have a few projects underway, which I’ll share once complete. I’ll probably make prints for the circuit, and make them available in the store.
Next con is at Hawkinge Community Centre on 17th-18th May. Just to clarify, in case, I have colouring books. I also have a display copy which I invite anyone to browse. Currently, I can only sell them in person, until I can actually create an Etsy account and link it onto the website.
